Cool pictures :) I won't let the kids play with sparklers at all b/c of all thek ids I knew that got hurt when I was a kid. I hope your little one is ok.

I wanted to answer your question with regard to the hermit crab. So far there have been no pinching. DD takes Spirit out everyday to walk around and hold him and he hasn't pinched at all. I've heard they do and can but I guess it's like any pet some can be a little annoyed more than others. Definitely can't pinch you by holding it by its shell and if you hold the hand flat out he wouldn't be able to grab any skin either. HTH
